Rebecca is an Accelerated BSN student at the University of Delaware. She earned a MS in Anatomy & Physiology Instruction from New York Chiropractic College and a BS in Middle Eastern Studies & International Relations from Carnegie Mellon/University of Delaware.
She is Dr. Bowen’s undergraduate research assistant, taking part in the Consortium, the Aging in Place Translational Research Laboratory, and research studies with the Department of Veterans Affairs. After graduation, she hopes to earn her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and establish an at-home primary care/acute care practice in Anacortes, WA, where she lives with her husband and two corgis.
Rebecca has been a geriatric health CNA and medical terminology/therapeutic communication instructor for 5 years, now taking a break to attend school. She was previously a scientific writer for the US Navy and frequently volunteers with military-family organizations.
